diamonds

suggestions to the best level to find gold ?


i usually mine at 7-6 but dont get many diamonds
and i seen online people say 16-18 is good but i dont find anything there

what level do you mine for diamond ?

7-8 is fine for me.

There is no really best layer for diamonds. Every world generate them in different areas. But i think it is usually around 7-8.

Just learn branch mining.

Dig straight where X's are.

Ores aren't single ones usually so you will not miss ores if you mine like that.


Explore caves etc. Fill lava with gravity blocks so it will be easy to clearl ava and gravity blocks (With putting a torch/redstone/flowers etc.)

i think layer 13 is the best layer, because you won't hit lava lakes that way.

it probably isnt the best level to find diamond but you probably find diamond every 1000 blocks you mine

I mine 12-16. Use a branch mining system
Just dig straight and then go back along your tunnel and dig another shaft with 3 blocks in between the next one.

There isn't a layer that is best for every generated world.

It depends on world but i have lots of diamonds than you guys can guess in first try. :3

As long as you want. Do not go too far, 300-blockish.

DONT BE ALITTLE GIRL DAN! (goes 25k blocks) now that my sir is a real miner

2500 blocks = 2500 seconds if only stone.
You will miss lots of ores.

300 blocks = 300 seconds.

You can make 8.33 branch mines if you go 300 blocks and won't miss blocks on your way.

i just made a random bukkit server and edit out that entire row i found over 5 i was in the middle of :O

go to the level where lava pools spawn.
Thats the first layer. I mine below and near them.
