Backpack Block Error

so, i went mining i na mineshaft today, emptied my whole inventory, and then my 9-slot backpack, it contained Sugar Cane, a few pieces of leather, and cobble/torches. i put it all in a chest. after mining for a while, i put 32 diamonds, a stack and some extra iron ore, and almost a whole stack of gold ore in there, along with some other random Lapis, Redstone, etc.

well after i went to put a couple more diamonds into my backpack, the contents of the backpack were what i had put into a chest a while ago.

the sugar canes and leather were still in my locked chest at home, but duplicates were in my backpack, and all the items i spent forever getting were gone. i know my items most likely wont be replaced/refunded, but still, i'd like to see this fixed before it happens to me again, or anyone else.

Hm. This issue should have been fixed a while ago, I'll check this out man.

I think I may have had some niggling backpack issues recently as well. My situations were a little hard to pin down to exactly what happened, but I suppose the Backpack contents reverting is about how to sum it up. I wish I had more specifics.

Yesterday I got murdered by a op invisible Enlighten with my backpack full.
when i died the stuff i had in the backpack was brought with me to the spawn (the spawn where you choose worlds) in my main inventory. and when i got the backpack back in survival it was empty.

btw vince, you did cost me more than 30x5 xp lvls and tools/armour/weapon worth more than 30 diamonds.

we need to start a revolt against these finicky backpack blocks.
