They are easy to kill if you dig a little hole.
Or you can just use your bleeding abilities.

If you can not kill them , just do not attack them. They are not agro.

I just like it hard when it is about PvE or PvP Razz

But yeah, they need to be nerfed for Mob Arena , but not ingame.


Edit :

String/Wool meant to gain hard, so spiders should be OP.

I was basically referring to the mob arena when I posted this, should have been more clear. It's easy to avoid them in the wild.

also due to light turning off spawners and the mob limit being permanently fucked for the last 2 months nobody can actually farm that shit anyway. Even so, there is no need for string/wool to be rare as it is almost entirely useless.

I think spiders are toned down enough for Fortress Defence, they rarely enter the bottom floor and are confined to the roof from what I've seen.

The only time spiders stay outside is it you camp, since the fortress is so small and there are many openings in it, I think the spiders automatically agro when they spawn. The reason they rarely enter is because most people are smart enough to ladder camp, so their AI tells them to climb the wall to get to you. If anybody stays near an entrance, runs outside, or is closer to the spawning spiders than the campers, they will absolutely come inside, and it happens all the time. It's just silly that we have to rely on this cheap ass strategy in order to actually kill them. Even if their jumping ability was disabled it would completely change the spider killing strategy and make it more balanced.
