Starting Plugin/Java Projects
So over the summer my main goal is to self teach myself java (redundant?) and to do so I want to do some projects and create some bukkit/spout plugins.
So my question is What are some good beginner projects/plugin ideas
Post suggestions below. Ill post my stuff somewhere on the site and maybe some will be implemented into the server

Re: Starting Plugin/Java Projects
Well, motivation levels must be at an all time high and you have to have bags of time; it's unnecessarily difficult.

Re: Starting Plugin/Java Projects
I would start at changing values in existing plugin files.

Re: Starting Plugin/Java Projects
I have tons of amazing ideas for plugins and ways to change the game that are all relative to how crafting and collecting resources work in the game Haven & Hearth. I'll post a few of my ideas, if you want me to elaborate on any of them I will be happy to;
- a crafting table block that is specific to wood working, wherein you can take wood blocks and change them in to planks, sticks, etc.
- more crops, like veggies and grapes
- a wine-press block and a barrel block to process grapes and make wine
- bee keeping (I know mods of this already exist) but bees should aid in speeding up crop growth and when placed near crops, honey and wax can be gathered from them
- leather should drop as "skin" and should be put on a drying rack for a certain amount of time to eventually become "dry skin." Dry skin should then be put in a "tanning tub block" along with water and tree bark, which over time should finally turn in to leather, which should be utilized in a lot of more interesting and beneficial ways
- leather + boiling water in a cauldron + wax = hardened leather
I could seriously go on forever, I have a million plugin ideas
