Spears, lower attack then a sword but higher range, low damage at close range though... im not sure that is possible :/

That's because it is.
Lets start with guns shall we?

1. Blinding affect = death however retarded your opponent is
2. Huge range on guns + high power = death even with slow reload
3. Zombie farms = infinite gunpowder = infinite ammo = chain gun thing = certain death
i.e. everything about guns are over powered, the only way to remedy it is to include bulletproof vests which completely negate bullet damage, but have a short durability.

Moving on to spiders

1. They do 4 hearts of damage + knock-back is negated by their flying ability = death (unless you spam the attack button so hard your mouse gets crushed)
2. When they attack fps decreases causing lag = death by lag
3. When in caves they are aggressive anyway and leave no possibility of fight back = death by ninja stealth
i.e. everything about spiders are overpowered

Continuing to poison

1. Poison is used for assassination and therefore is designed to efficiently kill, adding it to a spear for infinite uses is crazy
2. Your version of poison with a red mushroom is stupid due to mushroom farming being so simple
3. The poison would either be so quick that it ruined the fight or so slow it would have no affect on the fight
i.e. Everything about poison is overpowered, the only way to remedy it is to make it VERY difficult to obtain or making it so it doesn't affect health, maybe hunger or speed.

That is why certain elements of the game are overpowered.

This is completely true, I wonder if it we could balance it by implementing 4 new weapon "classes" that correspond with the 4 character stats I requested earlier in this thread.

You could leave or include swords, get rid of clubs and battleaxes (or just make them shitty) and turn the mcmmo function for increasing damage with stuff like axes, bows and swords down or completely off.

This way there could be 4 main types of weapons, this is just off the top of my head but lets say;

Swords - Require Strength - Medium Range - Medium Speed - Medium Damage

Spear - Require Constitution - Long Range - Slow Speed - High Damage

Dagger - Require Dexterity - Short Range - Very Fast Speed - Medium Damage

This will stop every character from being a "jack of all trades" unless they truly deserve it. You could put a level requirement on weapons depending on what they are made of and add more tiers to each category. This will also make PVP a lot more fun because each character will likely invest in a different branch depending on what they enjoy and people wont be able to powerhouse and use crazy OP shit until they have actually leveled up their stats to a point where they can equip the very good weapons.

I do like this idea. Everyone has a lot of items that they wish they could convert back in to the original starting materials. Maybe instead of getting lets say 3 iron from a bucket you only get 2 or 1. The same would apply for all items.

Let me try to imagine a perfect server through the perspective of all the new people we have been attracting lately and try to consider the things they would want and care about in order to keep them around.

I really think if we implement these ideas that we can keep the not completely terrible community we have been building over the last little while now and hopefully we'll be able to hold on to all the very, very intelligent and mature and completely not-irritating new faces I have been seeing around. Then to compliment that we need them to stay by using beginner friendly stuff like tutorial rooms, (usually its main purpose is it impress people with what there is here AND for some people to think they know everything).

What im thinking is a tutorial room in world 1, when someone first joins they must pass a building with signs on what is what and there should also be a reference room in world 2 if people forget.

I saw on another server that you accept a quest called tutorial, walk through different doors to complete part of the quest and when all parts are done then tutorial is complete! O.O

And it is not possible in minecraft.

A wizard class can use dmd sword (Not sure if it can be blocked) and take a knight in close range.. That is why RPG classes are a bit problematic.

what about the Puckling Gun ?

• Deals 1 damage (Not hearts) when hit
• Lack of distance (If SMG , 20 blocks || If ar , 28)
• SMG's have high recoil but AR's have less.
• 1 gunpowder = 30 SMG ammo.|| 1 gunpowder = 15 AR Ammo
• SMG's can fire 15 times in a second but AR's can fire 10 times per second.

I think they are balanced if you compare with other guns. Still , it should not be able to kill a person with 40ish ammo as SMG recoil will make you miss a lot of hits. AR's can take out but it is expensive Razz
